So this is what they are talking about

I'm tired. I will try to write tomorrow (we have to leave the hotel at 8:15 am, have a high school visit, and then leave for Lima in the early evening). But here are some of the things I saw today here in Guayaquil:

Part of the Linden tour group (or at least their backs & rears) on the city tour today.
Part of the botanical gardens located at the Malecon 2000, which is like a boardwalk along the river.
A beautiful cathedral which was part of our city tour. Is it just me or do churhes in North America totally lack the architectual beauty of th churches in Latin America & Europe?

My name is Erin. I don't do iguanas....there was a park across from the cathedral that was filled with these babies. People were hand feeding them - they were in trees - they were just chillaxin'. Needless to say, I zoomed from afar to get this pic.

More pictures to come. It is now 1:00 am and I have to be up at 7:00. 8-hours-of-sleep-loving-Erin is gently weeping.

But oh how it's worth it :)

PS - for your UMF peeps - the fair was GREAT. I will email you all tomorrow with more specifics, but TONS of MBA inquiries. Got like 23 cards in total. The only downfall was the total over abundance of materials that Sam packed. I think a good 250 brochures (the UG "travel piece") will be tossed. Oh, and the fact that I felt like a total failure in not offering much financial aid.
