Packing & "civil unrest"

It's about 10:30 pm. My bags are packed. (1 giant suitcase & a smaller rolling case - unfortunately, I'm totally prepared to pay overweight charges, just starting out!) All I have to do in the morning is get up, brush my teeth, wash my face & throw my make-up bag in my suitcase. Oh, and ya know get dressed and stuff...my brother will be here at 4 AM (!) to pick me up. Here is Libby yesterday afternoon, checking my bag out...

I seriously think in the last 3 days that I have done at least 12 loads of laundry. From bedding (fresh for my return) to clothes to every last detail, I am very happy to be stepping away from the Kenmores for 2 weeks. But I will be making great use of them again upon my return.

On Thursday night I got an email from the Linden tour leader saying that there is "civil unrest" in Bolivia & that they are watching the situation very closely. Should it not be in our best interest to go to Bolivia (after all that visa work!!!) we will either go to Bogota, Colombia or Rio. I have not heard from her again, so hopefully no news is good news.

I need to get in bed. I have a 15 hour day filled with flights & layovers - can't wait.

Wish me luck :)
